സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗറിലെ ചില പിന്നാമ്പുറ വിശേഷങ്ങള്‍

ഐഡിയാ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗര്‍ 2008 നെകുറിച്ച് ഞാന്‍ അധികമൊന്നും പറയേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ലല്ലൊ. ഇതിനോടകം തന്നെ ഇത്രയേറെ ജനശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയ വേറെയൊരു പരിപാടി മലയാളം ടെലിവിഷന്‍ ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന് സംശയം ബാക്കി നില്‍ക്കുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും രഞ്ചിനിയുടെ അവതരണ മികവും ജഡ്ജസ്സിന്റെ കമന്റു പൂരവും പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥികളുടെ മികവും കൊണ്ട് ആ പരിപാടി നമ്മുടെയെല്ലാം മനസ്സില്‍ മുന്‍നിരയില്‍ തന്നെ കാണും.

പരിപാടി ഹിറ്റായതു മുതല്‍ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗറിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പലതരത്തിലുള്ള അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങളും ആക്ഷേപങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ പ്രചരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു. ബൂലോഗത്തില്‍ തന്നെ പല പല ബ്ലോഗുകളിലും ഇതിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ധാരാളം പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ ഞാന്‍ കണ്ടിരുന്നു.

നജീം ആണ്‌ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗര്‍ 07 ലെ വിന്നര്‍ എന്ന വിവരം നേരത്തേ തന്നെ പ്രചരിച്ചിരുന്നു. അത് സത്യമാവുകയും ചെയ്തല്ലൊ. കഴിഞ്ഞതിനെപ്പറ്റി നാമെന്തിനു വേവലാതിപ്പെടുന്നു?

ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഐഡിയാ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗറില്‍ 44 പേരെയാണ്‌ ഒഡീഷന്‍ റൌണ്ടില്‍ നിന്നും സെലക്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത് കൊണ്ടുവന്നത്. അതില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ നേരത്തെ കണ്ടുമറന്ന് ചില മുഖങ്ങളും കണ്ടുകാണുമല്ലൊ? മറ്റു പല ചാനലുകളിലെ റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോകളില്‍ മത്സരിച്ചു ഫൈനലില്‍ എത്തിയവര്‍ മുതല്‍ ചില ഗാനമേള ട്രൂപ്പിലെ ഹിറ്റ് പാട്ടുകാര്‍ വരെയുണ്ട് ആ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍.

ഈ 44 പേരില്‍ പകുതിയോളം മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ ഒഡീഷന്‍ റൌണ്ടുകള്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടുപോലുമില്ല എന്നത് പച്ചയായ ഒരു യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യം മാത്രമാണ്. പരിപാടിയുടെ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസറിന്റെ ക്ഷണം സ്വീകരിച്ചു വന്ന് പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന മത്സരാര്‍ത്തികളാണ്‌ അവര്‍. അവരോടൊപ്പം പിനീട് പുറത്താക്കപ്പെടുവാന്‍ വേണ്ടി മാത്രം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ട ബാക്കി മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥികളും.

” എനിക്ക് ഈ പരിപാടിയില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കണമെന്ന് തീരെ താത്പര്യമില്ലായിരുന്നു. വേണ്ടുവോളം പ്രശസ്തി എനിക്കിപ്പോള്‍ തന്നെ ലഭിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു. പക്ഷെ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസര്‍ സാര്‍ വീട്ടില്‍ വന്ന് നിര്‍ബന്ധിച്ച് എന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരികയായിരുന്നു.”

ഒരു ദിവസം ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് കാണുവാന്‍ പോയ എന്നോട് ഒരു കണ്ടസ്റ്റന്റ് പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകളാണിവ.

എലിമിനേഷന്‍ റൌണ്ട് എന്ന ഒരു മഹാ സംഭവം നാം കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം കണ്ടുകാണുമല്ലൊ. ചിലരൊക്കെ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു പുറത്തുപോകുന്നു. ചിലരൊക്കെ ഞെളിഞ്ഞ് സദസ്സിലിരിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷണിച്ചു വരുത്തിയിട്ട് ചോറില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ആരെയെങ്കിലും പറഞ്നു വിടുമോ നമ്മുടെ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസര്‍? ഇല്ലെന്നെ….

പിന്നെ മറ്റൊരു കാര്യം കൂടി പറയട്ടെ…ജഡ്ജസ് എന്ന പേരില്‍ 3 അണ്ണാച്ചിമാര്‍ അവിടെയിരുന്നു കോമഡി പറയുന്നുണ്ടല്ലൊ, അവര്‍ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസറിന്റെ വെറും ശമ്പളം വാങ്ങികള്‍ മാത്രം. മത്സരാര്‍ത്ഥി പാടുന്നു, ഇവര്‍ വായില്‍ തോന്നുന്നതൊക്കെ കമന്റുകള്‍ പറയുന്നു ( എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്തു ടീവിയില്‍ വരുമ്പോള്‍ 75 ശതമാനവും കാണില്ല) മാര്‍ക്കുകള്‍ വിതറുന്നു, പോകുന്നു. അത്ര മാത്രമാണ്‍ ജഡ്ജിമാരുടെ പണി. എലിമിനേഷന്‍ റൌണ്ടിന്റെ ജഡ്ജ് മറ്റാരുമല്ല അതു നമ്മുടെ പ്രൊഡ്യൂസര്‍ തന്നെ.

ഒരു ദിവസം ഇതിന്റെ ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് കാണുവാനായി വട്ടിയൂര്‍ക്കാവ് വരെ ഒന്നുപോയി നോക്കു. പരിപാടിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു ഏകദേശ “ഐഡിയ” നമുക്കു ലഭിക്കും. ജഡ്ജിമാര്‍ തമ്മിലുള്ള ഈഗോ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളും….ഹോ എന്തൊക്കെ കാണണം എന്റീശ്വരാ….ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റ് പോലുള്ള ഒരു ജനകീയ ചാനല്‍ ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള വൃത്തികേടുകള്‍ കാണിക്കുന്നത് വളരെ ലജ്ജവഹം തന്നെയാണ്‌. ആ ശരത്തണ്ണനാണെങ്കില്‍ പറയുന്നതു മുഴുവന്‍ വൃത്തികേടും. (എഡിറ്റിംഗ് ഉള്ളതു കൊണ്ട് അത് ജനങ്ങള്‍ കാണില്ല.)

പദവികളോ പ്രൌഡിയോ കാലപ്പഴക്കമോ ഒന്നും സൌഹൃദബന്ധങ്ങളെ ദുര്‍ബലമാക്കിയില്ലെന്ന് തെളിയിച്ച് ഓര്‍മ്മയുടെ തുരുത്തില്‍ അവര്‍ വീണ്ടും ഒത്തുചേര്‍ന്നു. കോഴഞ്ചേരി സെന്റ് തോമസ് കോളേജിലെ 1974 ഫിസിക്സ് ബാച്ചിലെ 19 വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളും അവരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ച 5 അധ്യാപകരും. ഇതു രണ്ടാം തവണയാണ്‌ പഴയ വസന്തകാലത്തെ ഓര്‍മ്മിക്കാന്‍ അവര്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടുന്നത്. ക്ലാസ്സ്മേറ്റ്സ് 74. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം മാര്‍ച്ച് 31 നായിരുന്നു ആദ്യമായി അവര്‍ ഒത്തുചേര്‍ന്നത്. ഔപചാരിതകളൊന്നും പുലര്‍ത്താതെ പഴയ സംഭവങ്ങളും ഓര്‍മ്മകളും അയവിറക്കി 21 വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളും അവരുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും ഏതാനും അധ്യാപകരും മാത്രമാണ്‌ പ്രഥമ സംഗമത്തിലെ ഒത്തുചേരലില്‍ സന്നിഹിതരായത്.
36 പേരാണ്‌ 1974 ലെ ഫിസിക്സ് ബാച്ചില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. പലരും ഇന്നു പലയിടങ്ങളില്‍. ഭൂരിപക്ഷം പേരും വിദേശത്ത്. അവരില്‍ ഭൌതികതയുടെ വക്താവായ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും ആത്മീയതയുടെ വക്താവായ പുരോഹിതനും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജോലിക്കാരും ജോലിയില്‍ നിന്നും വിരമിച്ചവരും വീട്ടമ്മമാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഗള്‍ഫ് ന്യൂസിന്റെ സ്പോര്‍ട്സ് എഡിറ്റര്‍മാരായ കെ.ടി മാത്യു മാത്രം നാലു വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുന്‍പ് അവരെ വിട്ടുപോയി.

അന്നത്തെ ബാച്ചിലെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളില്‍ ഇന്നു കോഴഞ്ചേരിയില്‍ ബിസിനസ്സുകാരനായ രഘുനാഥ ഭക്തനും കോളേജിലെ പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പല്‍ കൂടിയായ ജോസഫ് ഫിലിപ്പുമാണ്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ഇത്തരമൊരു സംഗമത്തിന്‌ ആദ്യമായി മുന്‍കൈ എടുത്തത്.

അന്ന് വരാന്‍ കഴിയാതിരുന്ന പലരും ഈ സംഗമത്തിന്‌ എത്തിച്ചേര്‍ന്നു. ഇതില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാനായി മാത്രം വിദേശത്തു നിന്നും വന്നവരുമുണ്ട്. ഒരുപാടു കാലം നാസയിലെ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായിരുന്ന തോമസ് വര്‍ഗീസ് ആയിരുന്നു ഏവരുടേയും ശ്രദ്ധാകേന്ദ്രം. കുശലാന്വേഷണത്തിനായി പഴയ സഹപാഠികള്‍ അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ അരികില്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടി. അമേരിക്കന്‍ ജീവിതവും നാസയിലെ അനുഭവങ്ങളും തന്റെ പുതിയ മേഖലയായ ചന്ദ്രായന്‍ പദ്ധതിയുടെ വിശേഷങ്ങളും പങ്കുവെച്ച് അദ്ധേഹം അവര്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ പഴയ തോമസ്സായി.

നല്ല അദ്യാപകന്റെ സംതൃപ്തി എന്നു പറയുന്നത് അദ്ധേഹം പഠിപ്പിച്ച വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ നല്ല നിലയില്‍ ജീവിക്കുന്നു എന്നതാണെന്ന് അന്നത്തെ അധ്യാപകനായിരുന്ന പ്രഫ. സാമുവല്‍ ജോസഫ് ഓര്‍മ്മിച്ചു. തങ്ങളൊക്കെ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളായിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പല്‍മാരെ ഭയന്നിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്നത്തെ പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പല്‍മാര്‍ക്ക് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെയാണ്‌ ഭയമെന്ന അന്നേരത്തെ തോമസ് വര്‍ഗീസിന്റെ പരാമര്‍ശം എല്ലാവരിലും ചിരിപടര്‍ത്തി. 2 അധ്യാപകരുടെ നടുവിലിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ താന്‍ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവാണോ എന്നു തോന്നിപോകുന്നു എന്ന് മാര്‍ത്തോമാ സന്നദ്ധ സുവിശേഷ സംഘം മുന്‍ സഞ്ചാര ശുശ്രൂഷകന്‍ റവ. എം പി ജോര്‍ജ്ജിന്റെ കമന്റ്. ഇടതും വലതുമിരിക്കുന്ന അദ്ധ്യാപകരെ നോക്കിയായിരുന്നു അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ കമന്റ്.

കോളേജ് പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പലായ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹപാഠിക്ക് എല്ലാവരും ആശംസയേകി. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷത്തെ സംഗമത്തിനു ശേഷം ജീവിതത്തില്‍ സംഭവിച്ച മാറ്റങ്ങളും പഴയ കലാലയ ജീവിതത്തിലെ അവിസ്മരണീയ മുഹൂര്‍ത്തങ്ങളും പരസ്പരം പങ്കുവെച്ചു. പഴയ ക്ലാസ് മുറിക്കു മുന്നിലെ കാറ്റാടി മരച്ചുവട്ടില്‍ ഫോട്ടോയെടുക്കന്‍ അവര്‍ പരസ്പരം മത്സരിച്ചു. തങ്ങളുടെ പഴയ ക്ലാസ്മുറിയില്‍ ഊണും കഴിഞ്ഞ് എല്ലാവരും പരസ്പരം പിരിഞ്ഞു. ഇനി അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷം ഒരിക്കല്‍ കൂടി ഒത്തുചേരാമെന്ന ഉറപ്പോടെ….

IDEA STAR SINGER 2008 ELIMINATION RESULT

ഐഡിയാ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗര്‍ 2008 ലെ ആദ്യ എലിമിനേഷന്‍ റൌണ്ട് ഇന്ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ വട്ടിയൂര്‍ക്കാവിലുള്ള ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റ് സ്റ്റുഡിയൊവില്‍ വെച്ച് ചിത്രീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. ഗസ്റ്റ് ജഡ്ജായിട്ട് പ്രശസ്ത സിനിമാതാരം കല്‍പ്പനയുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യം നിറപ്പകിട്ടേകി.

ഇന്നലെ വൈകീട്ട് 5 മണിയോടെ എസ്.എംഎസ് കൌണ്ടിംഗ് നിര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നു. മാര്‍ക്കിനെ കൂടാതെ തന്നെ എസ്.എംഎസ്സും ഒരു പ്രധാന ഘടകം തന്നെയാണ്‌ എന്ന് നാളത്തെ എലിമിനേഷന്‍ റൌണ്ട് കാണുമ്പോള്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും മനസ്സിലാകും.

44 പേരുമായിട്ടാണ്‌ ഐഡിയാ സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിംഗര്‍ 2008 തുടങ്ങിയത്. അതില്‍ നിന്നും ഇന്ന് എലിമിനേഷന്‍ റൌണ്ടില്‍ 15 കണ്ടസ്റ്റന്റ്സ് ഡെയിഞ്ചറസ് സോണിലായിരുന്നു. അതില്‍ നിന്നും ആറു പേരെയാണ്‌ എലിമിനേറ്റ് ചെയ്ത് കളഞ്ഞത്. ആണുങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗത്തു നിന്നും നാലു പേരും പെണ്ണുങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും 2 പേരും അതില്‍പ്പെടുന്നു.

മൂന്നുവിധത്തിലുള്ള പ്രേമമുണ്ട്.

1) പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞവരോട് തോന്നുന്ന വാല്‍സല്യം.
2) ഭര്യാഭര്‍ത്താക്കന്മാര്‍, സമപ്രായക്കാര്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവര്‍ തമ്മിലുള്ള സ്നേഹം.
3) പ്രായം കൂടിയവരോടു തോന്നുന്ന ബഹുമാനം.

തനിക്കിനി 5 വര്‍ഷം കൂടി മന്ത്രിയായി തുടരുവാന്‍ താത്പര്യമില്ലെന്നും ഇതു തന്റെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ തീരുമാനമാണെന്നും ഒരു പ്രസംഗത്തില്‍ അദ്ധേഹം പറയയുകയുണ്ടായി. എന്നാല്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടി തീരുമാനം ഒന്നുകൊണ്ടു മാത്രമാണ്‌ അദ്ധേഹമിപ്പോള്‍ മന്ത്രിയായി തുടരുന്നതെന്നും മന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.ഇത്രയൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞ മന്ത്രി ജി.സുധാകരന്‍ അല്‍പമെങ്കിലും നാണമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ രാജി വെയ്ക്കണം.

അച്ചുതാനന്ദന്‍ മന്ത്രി സഭയില്‍ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ പഴി കേട്ടിട്ടുള്ള മന്ത്രിയാണ്‌ സുധാകരന്‍. സംസ്കാരമില്ലാത്തവരെ പിടിച്ച് സാംസ്കാരിക (സഹകരണ) മന്ത്രിയാക്കിയാല്‍ ഇങ്ങനെയിരിക്കും.

മകരവിളക്ക് ഒരു കളിപ്പീരാണെന്നും അത് അന്യനാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും വരുന്നവരെ പറഞ്ഞുപറ്റിച്ച് കാശുണ്ടാക്കുവാനുമാണെന്നാണ്‌ പ്രചരണം. ഇതു ശരിയാണോ അതോ തെറ്റാണോ എന്നിതുവരെ ആര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ല. അല്ല, അറിയില്ലെന്നു ഭാവിക്കുകയും ആകാം. മകരജ്യോതിയും മകരവിളക്കും രണ്ടും രണ്ടാണെന്നെല്ലാവ്രും ആദ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കണം.

അതില്‍ മകരജ്യോതിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഐതിഹ്യം ഞാന്‍ ഈ ബ്ലോഗിലെ തന്നെ മറ്റു പൊസ്റ്റുകളില്‍ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. മകരവിളക്കെന്താനെന്നും അതിന്റെ പിന്നിലെ അനുഷ്ടിച്ചുപോകുന്ന ആചാരങ്ങള്‍ എന്തൊക്കെയാണെന്നും ഞാനിവിടെ പറയുന്നു

ശബരിമലയുടെ മൂലസ്ഥനം പൊന്നമ്പലമേട്ടിലത്രേ…സന്നിധാനത്തില്‍ നിന്നും ഏകദേശം 15 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ദൂരമുണ്ട് ഇവിടേക്ക്. ഇവിടെ ഒരു മണ്ടപം ഉണ്ട്. അവിടെയാണ്‌ കര്‍പ്പൂരം കത്തിക്കല്‍. അതിനെയാണ്‌ മകരവിളക്കായി കരുതുന്നത്.

പണ്ടുകാലത്ത് അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പരശുരാമന്‍ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ച ശാസ്താക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളില്‍ വനദേവതകള്‍ വന്ന് ആരാധന നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. അതല്ലാതെ തന്നെ ആ ചടങ്ങ് ആദിവാസികള്‍ നടത്തുന്നതായും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. വൃശ്ചിക മാസം ഒന്നാം തീയതി ശ്രീ അയ്യപ്പനെ തിരുവാഭരണ വിഭൂഷിതനായി അണിയിച്ചൊരുക്കി നട തുറക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു തന്നെ മാനത്ത് മകരജ്യോതി എന്ന മകര സംക്രമ നക്ഷത്രം തെളിയുകയും, അതേ സമയം തന്നെ കാട്ടില്‍ അതായത് പൊന്നമ്പലമേട്ടില്‍ മുന്‍ പറഞ്ഞ മൂലസ്ത്ഥാനത്ത് ദീപാരധന നടത്തിയിരുന്നു എന്നാണ്‌ ഐതിഹ്യവും, ഈ കാര്യം തന്നെ പിന്നീട് ആചാരമായി മാറിയതുമാണെന്നാ്‌ണ്‍ കരുതുന്നത്.

എന്തിന്നും ഏതിന്നും ഭക്തി അല്‍പം കൂട്ടി കാണിക്കുന്നവരാണല്ലൊ തമിഴ്നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അന്യ നാട്ടില്‍ നിന്നും വരുന്ന സ്വാമിമാര്‍. ഇതേപോലെ ഒരു സംഭവം അവിടെ നടക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് മാനത്ത് നക്ഷത്രം തെളിയുന്നതും നോക്കി നിന്നിരുന്ന അയ്യപ്പന്മാരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍ ഈ കര്‍പ്പൂരാഴി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടതായിക്കൂടെ? അതവര്‍ വലിയ കാര്യമായെടുക്കുകയും ദേവസ്വം ബോര്‍ഡ് അതുപയോഗിച്ച് വരുമാനമുണ്ടാക്കുവാനും പ്രശസ്തി കൂട്ടുവാനും ശ്രമിച്ചതുമായിക്കൂടെ? അല്ല അങ്ങനേയും ചിന്തിക്കാമല്ലൊ?

This is for Asianet ISS viewers. Some of you might have wondered why good singers are going out. They are telling its because of SMS. But actually nothing like that. SMS is a real drama. Last elimination round was shoot almost one month back (I knew the yesterday’s eliminated list almost three

the answer is – the contestants and all staff part of ISS are made to sign legal contracts that refrain them from going public even if they are eliminated. If you guys remember, we had one of the contestant publishing the results of elimination in Orkut but remved it soon. The contestant got away with a strong warning.. Now if the question is about the audience, the answer is there are no audience when eliminations are shot… even if they are shown, its edited…

do you guys know each of ur sms cost Rs. 4 to 6 depending on carrier… Out of this the carrier (Idea, Airtel, etc.) charges Rs. 1 and the rest goes to ISS. Cant disclose the no of sms’s received so far but the fact is ISS and organisers have struck it rich…Rs. 40 lakhs is small piece compared tothe big pie QuoteNow answering to the doubts on the biased judgements, the answer is the sponsors have a lot of take on this… the strategy is to pick one or 2singers and portray them as favorites… automatically fans of other singers flood in SMSes to keep them going… eventually some deserving candidates turn out to be scape goats and get eliminated.. .Some even withdrew from competition knowing this… This is a common strategy used in almost all commercial reality shows… actually the concept originated from American reality shows…Well thats ISS for you.. You all shud now be thinking SMSs are meant only for adding public support to contestants. .. but the fact is, they are used to measure the popularity of the candidates.. in marketing, we call this “consumer psychology”. .. meaning change the strategy depending on how viewers react to the show… there is something called as Popularity Chart which is drawn for all these contestants. ..there are various factors which goes into the popularity charts..

e.g. region/city which the contestant represent, background of the contestant, and special abilities/disabilit ies which can draw viewers attention / sympathy, and ofcourse last but not the least, SMS votes… In other words, Judges award marks to contestants depending on where they are
positioned on the popularity chart (in other words how much votes they have received till date) … if you are at the top, no matter what mistakes you
do, you still get more marks.. and if you are at the bottom, tough luck… and u get to hear all sorts of critisicm from the judges… ultimately the
contestant receive marks based on the popularity chart and not totally on their performance. .. and thats why you see some contestants scoring moreven if their performance in the performance rounds are worse than other better performing contestants. .. the internal rumour is there are opinion
differences on this concept within the Judges… but for the sake of the show, it remains backstage… Moroever do you guys know how much each of
the judges are paid to be part of the show… I ll give you a hint, the host of the show is paid approx 10K per shooting day… so u can guess how
much judges are paid.. so they dont bother even if deserving candidates lose out…

He answered usually “IN aakanamennanu aagraham”.Then Nithya announced his result. “You are IN”. He wondered and go back to the audience and other participants.
After that iss crew realize that he didn’t talk to the judges before his result. Then Ranjini called back him to the stage again. And told him to answer the judges questions.
And she also told this “Mukhathu tension kanicho, result parayunnathinu
munpu kaniykkanullatha” . Then that poor boy has acted like that.
Murali–Judges asked him “Murali Do you deserve this position(Danger zone)”.

He suddenly answered “Actually I dont deserve this position, but when compared to the realities of a reality show(?) I may be out”.
His answer shocked everyone, and we can watch that from the face of Ranjini. I think iss may edit that part.
He had known his result earlier. So he was not much upset. But Ranjini tried too much to make him cry.

He was out. Then started the idea star cry… Ranjini, deedi, sudarsanan,orchestr a…. all were crying…
On Sudarsanan’s request Roshan,Abbas came to the stage. and the scene reached to the maximum level. William’s Tragedy repeated once more…

Last Arun Gopan—Everything repeated like when sanni was called… After a drama Arun gopan also in. If you watch this elimination episode carefully, surely you can realize that drama from Arun’s face.Ok, Why she said the eliminated people may be 3 or 4 or 5?
Because Asianet wants to keep the suspense to the last participant.
